Wish I could articulate how good this film was but I couldn't do it justice. Just go see it. The film looks amazing, sounds amazing has fantastic performances and compelling story that makes the long runtime go in a flash. Can't beat this classic. A simple story told effectively with so many memorable moments. The movie nails that perfect blend of child and adult entertainment to make this a perfect family movie. Despite being for kids it is not shy about delving into dark subject matter. Incredibles tells the story of a (mostly) ordinary family stuck in their ways and wanting more out of life, inevitably taking their frustrations out on each other. Only through honest communication and a family vacation to a tropical island can this family close the rift that has grown between them and begin to heal. Also they have superpowers. Five stars.

Really enjoyed this one. A simple film at its core telling the story of old friends/cousins/brothers who have grown distant but are brought together by their shared grief. One having settled down with a wife and child. The other stuck in the past, either refusing or unable to grow up. It certainly isn't a new idea but one that is executed with style and subtlety.

I liked how neither character is portrayed as 'the better one' or 'the right one'…
