The Legendary Animator Hayao Miyazaki takes his love of aviation to new heights in this animated classic about the seaplane pilots of the Adriatic. The films mix of goofy humor and serious storytelling is wonderfully balanced. It’s a film that’s not just enjoyable for kids but exciting and entertaining for  viewers of any age.

The films biggest strengths are in its animation, characters, and music, it’s everything you’d expect of a “Ghibli” film. The movie features some of Miyazaki’s best…

    The Cat Returns

    ★★

This film is essentially the “Home on the Range” or “Chicken Little” of Ghibli's film library. It lacks the heartfelt and emotional storytelling that’s a staple of the studio. It’s honestly embarrassing that the studio would release such a soulless mess of absurdity. Worst of all it’s a disgrace to the otherwise entertaining and moving “Whisper of the Heart” this is the one Ghibli film to skip!

    Jurassic World Dominion

    ★★½

Colin Trevorrow’s “Jurassic World:Dominion” is yet another setback for a once great series. The films first quarter is moderately amusing as we get to finally see the fallout of a world where dinosaurs and humans are forced to coexist, that lasts about twenty minutes. What follows is a disappointing film consisting of evil corporations, Uninspired Dino brawls, and really big locusts!

While the film brings back classic characters like Alan and Ellie the plot gives them far to little to…

  • Top Gun: Maverick

    Top Gun: Maverick

    ★★★★★

“Top Gun:Maverick” soars above the original film in spectacular fashion. Every time the films characters take to the sky expect to be pulled to the edge of your seat. The aviation scenes are bigger, better, & more beautiful then the 1986 classic.

Tom Cruise leads a cast of exceptionally talented actors who trained and worked to fly the jets themselves for the film. The plot while not a masterpiece of storytelling is both engaging and exciting, especially the finale act.

This new film makes for a greatly rewarding sequel that honors the original while taking the series to new heights!
