Last time Dev Patel searched for his honor in a film it was one of the worst adaptations in film history lol.
I think this movie has a lot of problems. It takes itself way to seriously (which I found funny a lot of the time), and it definitely could have used a couple of re-writes. I also think I’m not so partial to David Lowery as a filmmaker in general, because I had a similar response to Ghost Story.…

I was actually excited to watch this, I heard a lot of good things, but unfortunately I was disappointed.
First thing, the dialogue in this movie so so CRINGY! The amount of horrible one liners makes me want to vincent Van Gogh my ears off 😜. Every word/Lyric is pure exposition, which is difficult to withstand when you value good writing.
For example : “USNAVY😪, I’m the girl who paints nails😭😭” wtf was that, who tf would cry right there.…
This is horrible. It’s like guy Ritchie was some random guy who liked crime movies, and saw the indi crime boom of the 90’s, then tried to make his own movie, and its shit.
First of all the movie looks disgusting. It’s like Guy Ritchie has a phobia of color. Ritchie was like “black and white?? NO. Let’s try SEPIA!”
