Cool and weird and distinct. Solidifies Pattinson as one of the most exciting actors of his generation. He's wild in this. Not everything in it works tho. The tone can be wonky (expected) and the narrative gets messy as it goes on. Definitely felt a little long by the end. Best concept was the whole Multiples thing and I wanted more of the love triangle stuff tbh. Either way it's a fun watch and since it's Bong, you already know it'll end up one of the more visually striking and dynamically directed studio films by the end of the year.

So lived in. Shades of Pacino I've never seen before. Him and Pfeiffer are both brilliant. How the fuck is this not considered a classic

Alex Garland doing what more filmmakers should be doing which is making movies about photographers.

A little torn on what it ultimately builds to, but this is an absolutely blistering hour and forty minutes regardless. The sound design is piercing. The gun shots in particular had me flinching like I’ve never flinched in a theater before. Still think the title is kinda dumb but I’m glad this didn’t actually lean in the direction most of the marketing was pointing towards. One thing they got right was hyping up that Plemons scene because it’s probably gonna go down as one of the more memorable scenes of the year.
