Guadagnino truly understands the art of leaving something to the audience’s imagination. Phenomenal script, phenomenal casting. One of the lighter-handed explorations of the thinly-veiled homoeroticism of boarding school, sports, and WASP culture. Zendaya as the interloping puppet-master is a revelation. Docked half a star for a forced music cue or two, but they didn’t too much deter from the Oscar-worthy sound mixing.
