Holding space for a nuanced review:
Ariana is a great casting choice for the good witch - especially given the irony of her being a real Glinda with Ethan Slater lol. Sets, costuming, and general mis-en-scène is great. However, certain scenes feel floaty (maybe because over reliance on green screen prevents the actors from interacting with the environment?). They faithfully recreate the stage play, but goddamn, for a two and a half hour runtime, not much happens.Based enough to watch, cringe enough to be forgotten by time.
Also, -1/2 ⭐ because I almost lost my passport in the movie theatre.
