Daisy Ridley as a Special Forces soldier turned…window cleaner (?) is every bit as atrocious as it sounds. I’m curious how a film directed by the guy who made Goldeneye looks, feels and sounds like it was made as a favor.

Full disclosure: I only watched 26 minutes of this but it was enough for me to make a determination. This isn’t a film. It’s not. It’s a computer generated piece of shit starring two famous assholes in Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, both of which couldn’t act their way out of paper bags. Personally, this is one of the few films I ever stopped without having a desire to go back to it in order to see it through. 26 minutes of this is enough for an eternity.

If anything, it runs away from its potential. It plays like a missed opportunity which sucks because it’s well made and features some great performances (Mulroney and Bibb, namely). Overall, there’s better horror films out there featuring Lizzie Borden and her axe but if you want something a little different, check this out.

There’s a whole lot in Men and all of it is so on-the-nose that I’m left curious as to whether it is all that shoddily written or if Alex Garland maybe intended for it to give birth (no pun intended) to a plethora of other subtextual ideas. If that’s what Garland’s intentions were, there isn’t enough intellect here to bring them to their full potential. It’s clearly…
