For someone that doesn’t count themselves as squeamish, this was honestly a hard watch at times. Not because it was overly gory or anything, but it’s just pretty savage, and some of it is gross and weird, but in a good way. Also Margaret Qualley is fabulous in it (not just because she’s a 10/10) and still gets outdone by an amazing ‘comeback’ performance for Demi Moore. Could not recommend more but probably won’t rush to watch again, except for a few scenes 🥴

Marriage Story 2019
Damn, I was late to the party on this film and regret it. What an incredible script, pretty much from start to finish, with incredible performances from the entire cast (apart from the kid who was a bit shit). It takes you on a journey that pulls you in every direction along the way, one second feeling terrified of marriage and the potential pitfalls that come with it, and the next feeling the warmth, hope and optimism that anyone should want to feel when considering their future. I assume Noah Baumbach had a rough childhood and hollywood should be very grateful for that.

A very good film with excellent performances all round that makes tennis somewhat interesting and very raunchy. Some interesting cinematography that didn’t really vibe with me and the score and sound mixing left me baffled at times but overall definitely enjoyed it. Wouldn’t watch again apart from maybe the clips of Zendaya’s butt.
