  did not like. had so much potential, could have been SO good, had good pieces. did not have the ability to really put it together and make something great. trigger warning aside, why must we follow this girl boss depiction of SA??? what purpose does it serve??? I agree that sexual violence serves its purpose in film… which purpose did it serve in THIS film??? acting was phenomenal though, can’t lie about that!

  Went back to watch this in the middle of the day and cried my eyes out alone in a theater. I cannot begin to explain to anyone how this movie has completely shifted my life. It’s insane. 

  Asian stories deserve to be told like this.

  I am far too overwhelmed with thoughts and love for this movie that I couldn’t possibly write a full review right now, but I just want everyone to know it is such a perfect love letter to the fans and celebration of the franchise/Wes Craven. I’m already so excited to rewatch it. Scream is just such a perfect fucking franchise. 

  Also, was gonna give it a 4 star review because melissa’s acting is just so weak, but everything else was just so great that I had to give it a higher rating than scream 3.
