  My love of Sly is a massive sun that eclipses my ability to look at this documentary as its own piece too objectively. I'll admit, Questlove's centrist lens is frustrating regarding Sly is-à-vis drugs and black nationalism. Despite that, Sly is such a stunning person whose style and music deserve all the analysis and acclaim, I watched in awe between getting into lovely conversation with my bandmate on the parallels with subversive music today.
