Alright someone has to say it: Martin Scorsese is an incredibly overrated storywriter/director. Even thought this movie is based on true events, he still found a way to make this movie EXACTLY like Goodfellas, Casino, Wolf of Wall Street, etc……
This movie was supposed to be in contention for movie of the year, but I think it misses the mark almost everywhere.
What the movie does right: the plot is incredibly interesting, and I was intrigued the entire almost 3…

Christoph Waltz genuinely might be my favorite actor just from this movie and Inglourious Basterds. How he can go from playing a Nazi General to a slave freeing bounty hunter in this movie shows how crazy his acting abilities are.
But for the movie itself: how can you not like watching almost 3 hours of slave owners getting murdered? The movie has all the aspects of a Tarantino movie which makes it unique but sometimes over the top, but overall this movie is fire.
