  Casual Wim Wenders watch - loved the ending just full ending, loved the trust that Wenders has in the audience, loved the colors and lighting in the apartment especially. At times it felt like a detail was put in there just for the edification of Wenders, but otherwise very good movie

  Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters 1985

  Spectacular film, I love the layering of realities and how clearly these books illuminate parts of Mishima’s character. Some wonderful use of color. Reminiscent of James Joyce’s “A Portrait of The Artist as a Young Man,” completely enthralling and wonderfully written.

  Loved the attention to detail in this one. All the private moments with the father are highlights of this one. Love the shot with the fan and the slightly out of frame tai chi. Endings are always difficult, but I thought this one was a little heavy handed. Loved the final shot of the movie, and would have just liked to see him enter the double doors, and to have less shots of them together in there. In the same vein as Moonlight, but even more understated, which was to its benefit and its detriment. Great movie to watch in a hotel room.
