Brilliant casting. I know this is Jesse Eisenberg’s film, but he and Kieran Culkin basically just played themselves with different backstories. Culkin deserves the Oscar.
Really great portrayal of mental health struggles, and how you never actually know the pain someone is going through.
At the same time, incredibly funny throughout the whole movie.
Good movie! I like the decision to film it all from POV’s. It is pretty slow moving, and long. But a great story!
Somehow incredibly charming mixed with some of the most insane things you’ll ever see, that also manages to make you feel really sad. Some of it was a bit too out there (looking at you Tobey Maguire), but overall it was one of the most out there things I’ve ever seen that somehow managed to ground itself in realism and humanity enough to keep me engaged from beginning to end.
One of the most engrossing shows of all time. It’s not in the horror genre, but it will horrify you. The fact that’s it’s all true is even more mind blowing. It gave me the heebie jeebies just thinking about normal things like radio waves flying everywhere. Phenomenal film making in every aspect!
