Saltburn is that uncanny film that you enjoy watching but cannot admit out loud that you’ve actually enjoyed it. Several disturbing scenes in the film perfectly symbolise Freud’s uncanny and the reference to Shelley and Romantic literature corresponds to the film’s overall incorporation of the gothic elements.
