So many elements of this film are jaw-dropping. I put it on with the idea that it would be similar to El Dorado. It is not El Dorado. It is serious, powerful and deeply moving - for a movie aimed at children. There are some heavy themes at play, the animation is outstanding and the songs are often profound and catchy.
