This film utterly surprised me. I didn't know what to expect going into it, and finding it was not about baseball (don't even know where that initial perception came from) and was all about friendship and music just made this such a pleasant and enjoyable watch. It doesn't hit as hard as it could considering the content and what the Green Book was actually about providing (safe spaces in areas of segregation and worse) but it is super wholesome in the development of friendship and character growth. The Green Book will fill your heart and leave you with some nice feels.
Everything was outstanding. The story, the score, the performances, the cinematography, the general aesthetic, all of it = brilliant. Darkly funny, The Handmaiden really draws you in with it's twists and turns, and damn I'm fanning myself over here.
Well Godzilla certainly had a bit o razzle dazzle in this one! Absolutely epic, new and a cinematically fresh take on the story.
The most unhurried but still engaging horror I've seen. In A Violent Nature is reminiscent of playing a video game, especially with extended pause moments where you feel like you need to press 'x' to continue. Following the POV of the killer for the most part, this was beautifully set with some truly excellent kill moments (the yoga!) that left me wondering at times how they filmed them.
