The Thin Red Line 1998
A very interesting take on a World War II movie. The film drags near the middle, but overall, I found it thought provoking, exciting, and unique.

Okja 2017
Watched this last night to prep for Mickey 17. I went in blind and had no idea what to expect. Clearly I need to stop putting off this guy’s films, because just like all the others I’ve seen, this is also great. The visual effects had some janky depth perception issues at times, but by and large, I was mostly impressed with how much charm and character they were able to give Okja. Truly excellent creature design. This also features a wonderfully unhinged performance from Jake Gyllenhaal that I loved.

The Villainess 2017
Really fun and exciting action sequences with great editing and camera movements. I found the character work to be a little weak at times, but it’s made up for with its creative and stylish fight scenes.
