this was just an amazing critique on America and the systems which bring people down. The Narrator represents someone who wants more but won’t do what it takes to get it; he’s complacent. Tyler on the other hand is someone who is willing to do what it takes but escalates it to the point of harming others.
The fact that they’re the same person is even better. Tyler is the voice in the back of you’re head telling you there’s more.
