It shows only a portion of his live and i think there are documentaries that give more insight into the writings of Tolkien, but i liked the real life "Beren & Luthien" lovestory and the story of his personal fellowship with the TCBS, which is a bit more emotional and personal than in documentaries.

Its a guilty Pleasure from my youth. Shortly said: Avengers with characters from english literature ans badly aged CGI, but i still think its a cool idea.
