I don't know how I put off watching this for so long. Better late than never, I guess. Super glad I bought this during the Criterion flash sale. I'll review the special features in a few, especially the director commentary and Bong's Master Class from the Lumiere Festival.

But this film was amazing! Everything…

Day 11: Watch a film with exactly 2 actors on the LB poster

Wow, a very honest, moving film! Paul Dano should really direct another film soon, I'd like to see what original or adaptive ideas he has. This was the first Japanese animated film I'd ever seen. I first watched it in the movie theaters, back in 2018. It was magnificent to see it in IMAX HD. A great theater-going experience. Watching it again on Netflix Party with my girlfriend takes away some of the magic, but still a good watch.

The English dubbing (which is the only version available on Netflix) is actually quite good. Kate Winslet is an amazing villain, feigning kindness while still exerting…
