  Quiet, cozy, and meditative. I loved the attention to detail Hirayama’s character sees the world through and how he finds beauty in it - the way a tree looks, or shadows shimmering on the pavement. Also, now very jealous of Tokyo’s toilet infrastructure.

  A movie about friendship and the love of cinemas. Easy to see why it’s so beloved. Bonus points for the Morricone score, and that ending 🤌🏼

  Also, “Life is not what you see in films. Life is much harder.”

  Sometimes we get tired of being what everyone wants or expects us to be, and that’s ok. We don’t owe anyone anything, so be yourself. Chalamet was great. And so was Ed Norton.
