Hysteria 2025
Starts off very strong and is able to maintain that tension for the first 30 minutes or so. The film loses its way a little in the muddle of the middle and then improbably brings all the characters together to sort things out for an overly telegraphed conclusion. The final 5 minutes are a stunner, if for no other reason than their sheer intensity. It’s sticky—meaning, I think the film’s premise and conclusion will last in people’s minds. The total construction I’m less thrilled about.
