  I understand that this movie had to advance the love story of Anakin and Padme, but it was done very poorly. Mainly it was just the lack of chemistry between the two actors. Aside from that the movie is fine. The fight scenes towards the end are very good, and I wish that they could have done more with Count Dooku. The whole love story between Anakin and Padme just takes up too much of the movie.

  Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace 1999

  Overall I think that the story itself is good, but there are a few things in the movie that makes you overlook this. The obvious flaw is Jar Jar. It is difficult to like Jar Jar, and the amount of screen time he has makes him even harder to like. Another complaint I have is the acting performance by Natalie Portman. I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is about her performance but she just doesn’t perform well…
