I’ve never watched a classic feel-sad movie, but this did end up getting to me.
A good family oriented movie, it did bring me to tears, I’m hoping to read the book as well.
To those hoping to watch it, go for it!

Beautifully, artistically, wonderfully painter-like animation. Well crafted story. Proper detail given for every character, letting the characters drive the story. Was surprised it left off on a slight cliff hang.
Solid; great with the action scenes, I’m surprised w how well the cgi holds up!
Now I can finally say I understand the Jack Sparrow references; he did a fantastic job with this character
Feels like a classic, in the way Legend of Zoro and Princess Bride are classics
