I feel like, simultaneously, a lot happened and nothing at all happened.

Okay cool you’re messing with timelines. But I didn’t see the point of doing so. It would’ve had the same effect going start to finish. The jumps and  subsequent holes are probably supposed to be filled by extrapolation but there’s no point in doing that because the conclusions I drew were unexciting.

I think the only appeal here was Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield and they both delivered forgettable performances.

I love the visual effects and the delivery of the subject matter of the story. That said, I felt it had no story and was too chaotic. Not sure I got the message but a fun watch.

I really enjoyed this movie. The score is incredible. The lighting and composition was beautiful. Ralph Fiennes delivers an unbelievable performance—a very warranted Oscar nod here. All in all, just a well done narrative that was fantastic eye candy.

I had a singular—albeit minor—qualm. I just had a difficult time believing some of these other high profile actors’ roles: namely Stanley Tucci and John Lithgow. Not that they were bad but I think they’re heavily typecast and weren’t convincing enough of their roles. Maybe that’s bad casting, maybe that’s close-mindedness. Found the ending to be a bit of a cop out.

Tremendously visually appealing. As everyone knows, super ahead of its time. Obviously some special effects are noticeably rough around the edges but it’s well integrated into the rest of the film.

As a classic Gen-Z member, I am tremendously impatient throughout the early scenes. I’ve tried watching this unsuccessfully multiple times before because of that fact. Finally surpassing that threshold was worthwhile.

If HAL-9000 has no haters, I am dead.
