Incredibly sophisticated portrayal of being a 19yo boy/man (specifically Italian). Not just the drugs and the parties and the stupidity, but also: the shame for your own sexual urges, the superficial male friendships and the frustrating female ones, the nerdiness, the arrogance about every subject you learn, the loneliness… in some point it’s so specific that it genuinely startled me. A portrayal of youth, hypochondria, perversion, bad hygien, anti-social behavior - but nonetheless very hopeful.
