  the additions that were made brought more depth and made the story feel more full. halle is a star and i love how she stayed true to who ariel was but also added her own spin on her characteristics. ariel and eric’s chemistry blew me out of the water and i love how the movie showed that they were destined to be together. animated eric and ariel duck! the “kiss the girl” musical number and ariel teaching eric her name gave me so much buzz i want to rewatch the movie for those parts specifically!
