I thought the plot line with Brightbill was going in a totally different direction. Like yeah it would be messed up if you were raised by a person who has no idea what your culture is like and you were fundamentally different from the kids around you and no one could relate to you. But then he was just accepted by the ducks in the end so I was like oh ok
