The Devil Wears Prada actually covers a lot of bases in its plot: work-life balance is something that almost none of the main character’s have, Andy’s progression through the film shows the conflict between adopting an identity to fit your environment and evolving into a greater version of yourself through it, and the ideas of loyalty and sacrifice come up in almost every dynamic in the movie. Overall, TDWP is essential viewing (aside from the fact that Andy’s relationship to Christian provided absolutely nothing to the overall story until the very end).
