Great shots, beautiful shots…Mikey Madison is doing a lotttttt of work that gives this movie more depth than that script probably deserves.

Ari is perfect, the more I listen to the soundtrack the more struck I am by the sheer depth of Cynthia’s voice, every single person on-screen being horny for Jonathan Bailey just feels correct.

That said I simply hate how the movie looks, it’s absolutely half an hour too long, and somehow they managed to make even the most propulsive songs feel like overstretched slogs.

On rewatch with friends, I actually think that I found the movie better on its own terms, once I knew exactly what it was and wasn't. It's not a sharp class critique, it's not a movie that wants to really run with any thesis, and I'm not sure it really thinks it is one. It's an aesthetically-drenched exploration of an insecure, jealous queer sociopath. And that's fun!

Introducing people to this movie is so damn fun. Julia Roberts is just having so much damn fun.
