  does the movie give anything NEW to this type of “Oh-no-they-have-to-leave-this-weird-place” sub-genre??…not really
  did i still enjoy it and the performances, especially Ayo…yes :D

  i simultaneously wish there was more grit to the film in the heart of the movie aka ANORA herself and who she is and what her work is to her instead of her just being loud and angry aka Sean Baker’s portrayal of a strong woman……YET I ALSO thought there were times it was very fun and comedic and still an interesting film to watch both aesthetically and in the interactions between characters

  OHHH new comfort movie fr those r my girls, Keke plus SZA plus Issa Rae.. like this was the comedy movie crafted for me by me oh my god

  it felt very much like a Insecure movie but with its own humor and unique characters yet still the warmth and love and community of the show

  i loved it so much, i can’t wait to rewatch it in the summer it was such a summer movie
