Just bad. I've not seen the original, admittedly, so I'm not sure how much was an homage to the prior film, but there's just no logic to this at all. The VFX are garbage, the cast is wasted, and I'm not even sure the purpose of this movie. Nobody grows or learns anything, and the impact of everything seems to be "well that was a rough week."
The first half is very interesting, setting up how the cloning and reprinting works. Much has and will be said about Pattinson basically doing a Steve Buscemi impression, but he turns in a solid performance that feels grounded despite its weirdness. The same cannot be said for Steven Yeun, Mark Ruffalo, or Toni Colette, who continue a trend of Bong Joon Ho's English language films being more broadly campy than his Korean language movies.

A forgotten Disney classic. This movie is fantasy storytelling at it's purest, tragically underrated.
Great grumbley gruesome, what a middle finger to your own world. It's been a minute since I cared enough to get this mad at a movie, but after working my way through the Tales of Arcadia universe, I was excited to see the final chapter for all the characters I've come to care about.
