  It’s interesting that this film was made to make the Revolution look bad, but it does a terrible job at it. It’s really interesting to see others say that the family’s hardships were due to the revolution, and this is why communism in China is bad. In my opinion if you think this movie represents why communism is bad you lack critical thinking skills in the slightest.

  Would give zero stars if I could. Beautiful scenery yes, but I don’t know how anyone could look past the literal pedophilia in this film. I’m pretty concerned that this has such a high score when this telling of pocahontas was not true either, and the actress was literally 15 when this was filmed. Made me want to vomit the entire time.
