Idk why this ever left my letterboxd top 4 but it’s back. One day I will write a review about why I unironically love this movie SO MUCH but that will be a very special day and that day is not today.
Btw this movie is best watched over a glass of champagne with your boyfriend and his mom starting at 12:15am after getting back from the opera. Movie options were Shrek 2, Past Lives and The Holy Mountain. We made the right call

Apparently the cast is split between East German & Czech and during filming they spoke their native languages, so when they released a Czech and East German version separately, they just dubbed the other half of the cast for the respective releases
