Great acting! Overall a strong portrayal of the real struggles for citizens of occupied Belgium. This movie shows you just how ruthless the German regime was but also how easy it is to slip into it's political grasp. For someone with a strong stomach for graphic content, there were still points that were still difficult to watch.
You knew this was going to be a slow paced movie by the opening credits. The tranquility and complexity of the situation deserved time to think. As we try to solve the case of a mysterious death, each scene provides more information that adds layers to the films complexity. A movie like this demands your complete attention and deserves it. The only distractions were the few strange cinematic decisions and what seems to be an unlikely chaos that is the French judicial system. Though I'm not an expert in Civic Law, some of the questioning and speculations seemed over the top.
An entertaining production that can be summarized by a complete mockery of the United States government. Exemplifying the idiocratic beaucracy of Washington DC.
Most scenes produce a conglomeration of anxiety, uncertainty, concern and general excitement. Each character is written to be as despicable as possible; respectfully in unique ways. However, with the exception of Brad Pitt's character, who is delightfully whimsical. Though his moronic innocence offers comedic value, it also delivers an essential peice to the plot.

A lot of people argue that making a Craigslist post for a hired hitman and then prosecuting whoever follows up on it is entrapment. What's a more severe case of entrapment is making Glen Powell the lead, convincing me that this movie would be any good. Unfortunately, this "true story" is foundationally supported by the most unrealistic police department depicted in cinematic history.
