Gladiator II 2024
This was a great eye-rolling exercise.
The acting felt much too theatrical, most likely because of the script, and the fighting scenes could have been funny if the movie didn’t take itself so seriously. On the positive side, Denzel’s arc was the most engaging, but it unfortunately crumbled to pieces toward the end.
Considering the mutant monkeys and the killer sharks CGI, I think the plot would have been better if we found out mid-movie that Russell Crowe was actually alive.

Nosferatu 2024
A two part horromedy:
1. Naive Thomas goes to Transylvania - a story about vehicle theft, low key racism, superfluous dramatic music, memorable lines in Romanian such as "dau cu usturoi pentru strigoi" and (really) superb cinematography.
2. Rodent sprees and gothic kinks - the baritone freak consummates his obsession with a build up of animal cruelty, melodrama and a bit of the sleepy Zzzs on my end. Did I say great cinematography? Also, thank god for Willem Dafoe being cast in this movie 🙏.
