The Boy and the Heron 2023
I need a rewatch to be able to really tie concepts to this film and what it stands for but for the first watch at least it was easily a top 5 ghibli movie for me, beautiful setpieces, interesting characterization, and a strong message makes this film for me. The only issue that I find with it is that it is easily the least simple Miyazaki movie yet though the overcomplication is needed for its message.
