Having just read Miklos Nyizsli’s memoir from Auschwitz, it’s hard not to feel like this is as true (divorced from the unimaginable reality of real, rather than depicted, life) an on screen depiction of the Sonderkommando as yet realised.
Claustrophobic with impeccable sound design, I feel like what stood out to me the most was how lush certain scenes were - particularly given how muted and even monochrome films about the Holocaust tend to be.
