  Groundbreaking and devastating.

  The complicated conversation of assimilation verses pride is even more of a topic now than ever :( I talk about this with my partner constantly.

  I love that he realized he was gay when he fell in love with a boy from Staten Island 💕🌈

  This was darrrrrrk. First of all, how do people get this good at computers?? It’s terrifying but very cool.

  It’s going to take a long time for me to get over the scene in court on the accused’s birthday. That was so terrible and I still don’t really understand the motive?? Was it to figure out if he was guilty? Was it to taunt the families? For attention? To get fired/cancelled? Very depraved.

  I don’t think I’ve seen a romcom from this period so brutally critical of the protagonist. He’s an obsessive creep with a suicidal mother (who takes baths in gowns, love it.)
  This very easily could’ve been like a prequel to the Joker (not really but it’s in line with that way of thinking.)

  The scene in bed when John Heard gets jealous and suspicious of Mary Beth Hurt’s gynecologist appointment and says he’s going to beat the doctor up AND…

  Inches is a seminal gay male adult film.
  It’s supremely important due in part because of the iconic Al Parker as the lead in his stand out role as Doug, the heartbroken college student dipping his toes in a world beyond conventional monogamy. Inches is also important because of the narrative structure of the film, yes this is a pornographic movie, but as hot as the sex scenes are, the plot is solid and actually really tender in many ways. …
