This is my fist Kollywood film that I watched specifically for its iconic "Ra~ Ra~" song and scene (the best part of my viewing experience). I think I'll need to view more Kollywood films to understand the culture/vibes but this wasn't too bad, especially for it being an older work. I typically hate comedy horrors (and this was heavyyy on the comedy) but I'm glad to diversify my horror watchlist. Jyothikas acting as Chandramukhi was chefs kiss !

Um- can't say I dislikes this but would I watch it again ?? Probably not.

The actual stop motion sequences of this were awesome and amazingly grotesque. I loved those weird little meat creatures. I wish the focus was more on that than this boring "mentally ill woman doing crazy shit" storyline. This felt like a film festival project that was an hour longer than it should've been and I found myself bored and slightly confused on many occasions.

I give props for the odd creativity and the mixed media concept but no... this didn't do it for me.

i wish i could've liked this more but i just can't see past the hollywood-ification of black and indigenous colonization stories. i was 8 or 9 and blissfully ignorant when avatar first came out. back then i could just soak in the beauty and emotion of the movie without knowing the roots of the stories it was telling. it's a different feeling when you're older. all i could think of was "damn, colonization really fucked up these tribes forever."
