The VFX held up surprisingly well and besides some cheesy dialogue and lame jokes the story was pretty interesting. There’s enough of a mystery to hook you in and question what is the cause of this scientists death. There’s also some commentary on not letting technology take over your life. The King Tide 2023
Great slow burn movie that has very believable characters that you will hate and love. The film hooks you in at the beginning and slowly develops its characters and builds its story until everything unfolds. I don’t want to get into details because I went in blind and I think it’s better that way. I kind of wish there was a little more to the ending, but the ending is perfectly serviceable and was set up and hinted at throughout the movie.

Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum 2018
Great found footage horror that utilizes the streaming framework better than any other movie I’ve seen. Has some good scares and creepy environments for the characters to interact with. It also does a good job of setting up the story to make it believable that every character is filming all the time.
