This is such a great movie with a terrific character arc for Mike Wazowski. Sometimes you can put in more work than everyone else, and it may not be enough. Or maybe it is, just not in the way you think.

This is written for lil, lil kids (which-DUH; this is okay, of course!). There’s not much story here and stuff just kinda happens without much rhyme or reason to fill time. The story does have heart and the ending was so wholesome and sweet that it moved me.
A really over-hated movie imo. I feel that it is pretty solid, it just was missing a bit more nuance to make it truly great. The songs are catchy and art style really does capture that storybook-feel. There are a few elements of the story and references made to classic Disney that are a little clunky, but it all still works well enough.
