Fight or Flight 2024
This one genuinely surprised me. All of the action in the plane is actually pretty fantastic and fun - the problem? As soon as we leave the plane and spend time with characters on the ground it becomes extremely self-serious, dull, and filled with terrible performances and rote dialogue. At one point, the film grinds to a halt for ten minutes and it feels like an eternity. Without that ten minutes, this would be a four-star movie.

Carry-On 2024
Laughable, ridiculous copaganda, yet it's still entertaining enough to carry through. A little longer than you'd expect, but Jason Bateman and Taron Egerton carry you through. There's a pretty hilariously executed CGI car fight, that is a great idea in theory, but leaves a lot to be desired in execution.
The one thing that struck me Is that Egerton really hopes that Tom Cruise sees this when he hangs up the Ethan Hunt cap - boy can run!!!

Toy Story 4 2019
Toy Story 4 definitely has a lot on its mind, as it abandons most of the original cast to focus on the philosophical quandary of the existence of Forky, as well as a cadre of new, colourful characters.
Pacing wise, it's a little slow to start, and is probably the "least best" of this near perfect quadrilogy. It's pretty amazing that they managed to do it again with this franchise, but for the love of God please leave it there.…
