Noticed for the first time that the one bearded rebel guy (Rex, if you believe Filoni) is later in a stormtrooper uniform disguise, but they never show the rebels doing a disguise trick. Some deleted scene maybe?

Haven't seen this since it came out and I remembered it being good and it really still is. Always like Niccol's stuff.
It feels like the premise today would be harder... the simulated world would almost have to be dated back further to avoid internet and such. Probably they'd make it a streaming miniseries.
If there's anything wrong with it it's that they don't resolve a few of the character stories in going from the simulation to the escape.
I do appreciate a slightly ambiguous or open-ended ending.

Oof. Well, that was a movie all right. What a waste of Michelle Yeoh and what was sometimes a pretty interesting character. I had hopes we would have gotten "Star Trek is a place" but with a heist or spy thriller element. Nope!

A really solid superhero movie with a more cohesive plot than the action vignettes of the first two. Unlike a gritty MCU film the final punch punch punch action can be followed because they know how to use color (though super saiyan Sonic and Shadow were a little too similar at points).
Letting Jim Carrey play two unhinged Robotniks definitely plays to his strengths. They did go for the Eggman fat jokes a bit much. The ending redemptions are maybe…
