Blue Jean 2022
this was phenomenal. so sad that the legacy of section 28 can still be felt today.
i loved the way the film uses different colour palettes for each location based on jean’s emotions. the more hostile environments like the school or her sister’s house used pastel tones whereas the more accepting spaces like the bars were much more vibrant and colourful.
overall i really loved this and i think it’s one of my favourite films i’ve ever watched :-)
