A comedic story from Otomo, writer of Akira, and it's funny as hell. An old man is selected (forcefully) to be trial subject for a brand new, all-in-one caregiving techno bed. This bed will eventually become sentient with robotic mobility, and starts to cause all sorts of destruction and chaos as they decide to spend a day at the beach. Lots of funny moments throughout with a few tender ones, and a really cute but devious cat make this an underrated anime classic.

Modulations 1998
An amazing and hard hitting documentary on techno and origins of electronic music. This was an awesome snapshot from the late 90s of many electronic artists that I love in their early years. Autechre, Orbital, and Squarepusher to name a few. The rave and festival footage from around the world was also astounding.
Seen at Synth Library Portland located inside the Lloyd Center Mall.
