How to begin to describe a movie that was able to transport me from a seemingly modest story of a divorce to a meditation on humanity, adulthood and the transiance of time. The main character is the most heartbreakingly lovable protagonist played with brio by Tabata Tomoko. She seems to be much more mature than both her parents: his lazy father and uncaring, selfish mother.
