"They know they were born to be 'someone', to be 'special'"
I’ve finally watched STALKER, Andrei Tarkovsky’s most famous film, again and again. Tarkovsky’s movies are always so deep, exploring life, the meaning of life, happiness, and hope. That’s what defines him, life and hope. His filmmaking style, with zoom-ins and following the actor, plus long takes, really makes you feel what the actor is going through. There’s always a scene that stands out because of its beauty and deep…
The famous one by Andrei Tarkovsky, This is the fifth Tarkovsky film I’ve watched. In this one, he uses his signature filming style always following the actor’s movements, frequently zooming in, and relying on long takes. These techniques make us feel like we’re inside the actor’s mind, experiencing their thoughts and emotions firsthand. They pull us into the atmosphere, making us truly feel the situation unfolding on screen.
This film really highlights how fragile humans are. The characters meet people…
