this made me feel fear, excitement, joy, anticipation, and a delightful wave of nostalgia. i loved every second of it, from the absolutely stunning animation to the way it says so much without saying anything at all. and i’d like to think my friends would describe me as the capybara of the group.

the title of the movie is the main character’s name, yet we learn nothing about her. if this is supposed to be from Igor’s perspective, that makes me question why this movie was made in the first place, as that is the least interesting way to approach the subject. also, i was very uncomfortable when Anora was attacked, and i find it very distressing that later in the movie this is turned into a joke. lastly, the first 30 minutes felt like a shitty music video but i like her hair tinsels.
