Smile 2022
Not as much fun as the trailer suggested, but a decent entry into the 'curse horror' sub-genre, even if it starts to feel more and more familiar as it goes, leaning quite heavily on those that have come before. Last few minutes goes some way to redeem the sluggish middle.

Wasn't going to watch this until I heard the series got better and then planned to loop back if so. Instead I choose to believe the recent rumblings that this series may not get a conclusion due to increasing audience apathy ...and it suddenly became a curiosity to seek out, a kindred spirit to whatever that last Divergent film was called, in the unkempt hallways of abandoned franchises.
And of course, thought it proved better than the previous one.
